born to an interior designer-come knitter extraordinare-mother and a camera-always-in-hand father, becoming a graphic designer/photographer should be about as shocking as white pants before memorial day.

i started my professional career, as a graphic designer, in 2005 and launched mh photography in 2010. mhp has been so much more than just a side job, turning into something that makes me all giddy inside. i believe they call it passion coming into fruition.

since my clients will tell you i'm an open book, here are 10 things you should definitely know about me:

1. i have the sweet tooth of a 10 year old.
2. my 4 years spend at iu (most often found in the FAB) are some of my best memories.
3. i'm an avid fan of the hoosiers, the colts and the cardinals. In that order.
4. visiting places I've never been makes me tick. as in keeps my heart beating.
5. if given the choice between a salad or a steak, i will always choose the steak.
6. i had a boy haircut in the 1st grade. No, you may not see a photo.
7. i still get a little nervous before every shoot-i hope that never changes.
8. i am easily amused, honest to a fault and probably talk too much, but i will not rest until the job is done.
9. capturing happiness, whether in the form of a newborn, senior, family or bride/groom, brings me more joy than i ever thought possible.
